The steel rail can be divided into crane rail (crane rail), heavy rail and light rail according to the approximate weight per meter:
1. the crane rail is divided into four types: qu120, qu100, QU80 and qu70. The material is generally manganese steel. The largest single weight is qu120, which can reach 118kg/m
2. heavy rail. According to the type of steel used, it can be divided into ordinary manganese containing steel rail, copper containing plain carbon steel rail, high silicon copper containing steel rail, copper rail, manganese rail, silicon rail, etc
3. light rail. The variety is specified in standard (5) of “8”. There are mainly 9, 12, 15, 22, 30kg/m and other different rail types
Each country in the world has its own standards for producing steel rails, and the classification methods are also different. China GB 2585-2007, British standard BS series, German standard DIN series crane rails, International Union of Railways UIC series, American standard ASCE series, Japanese standard JIS series.
